The “University to Career Toolkit: Map Out Your Purpose, Passion & Profession” workshop, organized by the IHU Career Center in collaboration with the Center for Psychotherapy Research (İPAM), took place on 18 November 2025. The event offered students valuable reflections on connecting their academic experiences with their personal values and future career goals.

The “University to Career Toolkit: Map Out Your Purpose, Passion & Profession” workshop, jointly organized by the IHU Career Center and the Center for Psychotherapy Research (İPAM), was held on 18 November 2025. The workshop aimed to support students in gaining deeper awareness of their academic journey, exploring their personal motivations and developing a clearer sense of direction for their professional futures.

The session’s speaker, Psychotherapist and Clinical Psychology PhD Candidate Yaqeen Sikander, delivered an engaging presentation centered on the “3 Ps” framework: Purpose, Passion and Profession. Through her reflections and examples, Sikander encouraged participants to consider how these three elements intersect and how they can shape long-term academic and professional decisions.

Throughout the workshop, students reflected on how their university experiences could inform their future career paths. Sikander’s personal narrative on transitioning from student life to professional practice provided meaningful insight and encouraged participants to think intentionally about their own next steps.

The event concluded in a reflective atmosphere that allowed students to think deeply and gain new awareness about their personal and academic journeys.
