Ibn Haldun University 3rd Career Fair Successfully Brought Together Students and Industry
The 3rd Career Fair organized by Ibn Haldun University Career Center brought together students, alumni, and leading institutions for a full day of networking and career development opportunities. Through workshops, interview simulations, and direct engagement with employers, participants gained valuable insights into both professional and academic career paths.

The 3rd Career Fair, organized by the Career Center operating under the Directorate of Strategy and Resource Development at Ibn Haldun University, was successfully held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Media and Event Center with strong participation. The event, which aimed to support the career development of university students and alumni, stood out with its diverse and comprehensive content throughout the day.

The fair, which began at 09:30, opened with speeches by Career Center Director Çiğdem Haneci and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu. The opening remarks emphasized the importance of university–industry collaboration, early career awareness among students, and the role of such events in professional development.

As the fair continues to grow each year, numerous institutions from various sectors participated by setting up booths. Throughout the day, students and alumni had the opportunity to engage directly with HR professionals, gain detailed insights into companies, and explore internship and job opportunities. These interactions also significantly contributed to expanding participants’ professional networks.

One of the highlights of the event was the interview simulations conducted in collaboration with Karaca and Türk Telekom. These one-on-one simulations provided participants with a realistic interview experience, allowing them to receive direct feedback and identify both their strengths and areas for improvement.

In addition, the academic interview simulation offered students and alumni a realistic academic interview experience under the guidance of IHÜ faculty members and with the support of career advisors. This practice created a valuable opportunity for participants aiming for an academic career or planning to pursue graduate studies, helping them approach academic interviews in a more prepared and strategic manner.

The “Statement of Purpose and CV Writing Workshop,” conducted by QS Türkiye, also attracted significant interest. During the workshop, participants learned effective CV writing techniques, key elements of strong motivation letters, and strategies to stand out in application processes. They also had the opportunity to work on their own documents through practical exercises.

Throughout the event, coffee sponsored by Prototype enhanced the overall experience, allowing participants to spend more time at the venue and engage more comfortably in networking activities.

Through this comprehensive organization, Ibn Haldun University Career Center continues to support students and alumni in their transition to professional life. By strengthening university–industry collaboration, the Career Center remains committed to guiding participants in taking informed and strategic steps in their career journeys.
