The Ibn Haldun University Career Center recently took another significant step in empowering youth through career awareness by organizing a seminar for high school students. Upon the request of the Guidance Department of Uluslararası Şehit Mehmet Karaaslan Girls’ Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, a comprehensive “Career Planning” seminar was held on May 16, 2025.
The event, attended by 9th and 10th grade students, was conducted within the framework of a previously signed cooperation protocol between our university and the school. The seminar aimed to raise students' awareness about career planning, help them better understand various professions, and support them in taking conscious steps toward their future goals.
The seminar was presented by Çiğdem Haneci, Director of the Ibn Haldun University Career Center, and Career Counselor İbrahim Ethem Erdoğdu. Topics covered included the concept of career, discovering personal interests and abilities, goal setting, and key factors to consider when choosing a university and academic department. The session was delivered in an interactive format to ensure active student participation.
Highly engaged and curious, the students posed insightful questions that were addressed during the seminar. Teachers and school administrators expressed their appreciation for the informative and inspiring nature of the event and extended their thanks to Ibn Haldun University and the Career Center team.
