In collaboration with the Association for Refugee Rights (UMHD), we are pleased to announce the recruitment for the Fall 2025 Volunteering Program.
Program Overview
Duration: 3 months
Dates: October 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025
Total Working Hours: 192 hours
Type: Voluntary / Unpaid (no salary or compensation will be provided)
Certificate: A Certificate of Participation will be awarded at the end of the program.
Requirement: This is not a compulsory internship; however, an evaluation will be conducted.
Experience: Volunteers will take part in both field and office activities.
Assignment: Submission of a final assignment is mandatory.
Through this program, participants will contribute to UMHD’s protection, legal assistance, advocacy, and research activities, gaining first-hand civil society experience.
Volunteer Roles and Benefits
Contributing to UMHD’s protection, legal assistance, advocacy, and research efforts,
Taking an active role in projects and events,
Conducting field observations and undertaking micro-tasks related to refugees and migrants,
Receiving orientation and volunteer training in human rights, refugee law, and advocacy,
Gaining NGO experience in reporting and project processes,
Receiving a certificate and the opportunity to become a long-term volunteer.
Eligibility – Who Can Apply?
Students or graduates of Law, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Communication, or related fields,
Those with an interest in refugee rights and human rights,
Able to contribute at least 2 days per week,
Team-oriented and possessing basic computer skills,
Willing to contribute either in person or online.
