Yeşilay, committed to protecting public health and youth from harmful addictions through scientific methods, is seeking an Assistant Specialist for Scientific Studies to join its Headquarters in Cağaloğlu, Istanbul. This position will actively contribute to the preparation of scientific reports in the field of addiction prevention, support academic journal processes (Addicta), and assist in the organization of scientific meetings.
Eligibility: At least a bachelor’s degree (preferably a master’s or PhD), minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience, knowledge of health and scientific publishing, proficiency in English, and familiarity with statistical analysis programs.
Job Description:
Prepare scientific reports and briefing notes in the field of addiction (alcohol, substance, tobacco, technology, and gambling) to support Yeşilay departments with up-to-date information,
Contribute to the publication of the Scientific Studies Bulletin,
Support the organization and execution of Yeşilay’s scientific meetings,
Manage relations with project team members in scientific research, organize team meetings, set agendas, and prepare meeting notes,
Assist in managing the editorial processes of Yeşilay’s peer-reviewed international academic journal Addicta,
Provide content for the Turkey Addiction Index coordinated by Yeşilay,
Support the operational processes of Yeşilay’s Graduate Thesis Research Scholarship Program,
Organize and oversee the functioning of Yeşilay Scientific Board meetings, prepare meeting notes, and communicate decisions to relevant units,
Carry out all official correspondence and documentation processes with institutions and organizations within the scope of responsibility.
