Dear Students and Alumni,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming event within our Graduate Seminar Series: YLSY Scholarship Information Session, focusing on the YLSY Scholarship Program, one of Türkiye’s most established scholarship programs administered by the Ministry of National Education (MEB).

The event is open to everyone; however, registration is required.

In this session, YLSY Scholars Dr. Erkan Karakoyun and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahmi Saylık will share their experiences during the scholarship process and offer valuable insights for prospective applicants.

  • Dr. Erkan Karakoyun (Muş Alparslan University)

Dr. Karakoyun graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Civil Engineering (2008). Through the MEB YLSY Program, he studied in the United States, completing his language training at the University of Texas at San Antonio and his master’s degree at the University of Houston (2013). He returned to Türkiye in 2016 and has since been serving as an Assistant Professor at Muş Alparslan University.

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahmi Saylık (Ibn Haldun University and Muş Alparslan University)

Dr. Saylık completed his undergraduate studies in Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Selçuk University. He earned his MSc in Neuroscience from Bangor University (2012) and his PhD from Brunel University London (2017). He later conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford. Since 2018, he has been affiliated with the Departments of Psychology at Muş Alparslan University and Ibn Haldun University, where he continues his academic work as an Associate Professor.
