Funded by the European Union, the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme provides Turkish citizens with the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies in EU member states. The programme aims to enhance Turkey’s human resource capacity in areas related to the EU acquis and foster academic and professional excellence.
During the event, Ms. Sümeyye Oğuz, Jean Monnet Scholar for the 2023–2024 academic year, will share her personal experiences and practical advice on the application process.
About the speaker:
Sümeyye Oğuz completed her master’s degree in Applied Social Data Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University.
Her academic work focuses on applying data science methods to analyze social and economic challenges. In her thesis, she explored the effects of digitalization on labour markets, and as a Jean Monnet Scholar, she focused on digital transformation and economic resilience within the European Union context.
