Dear Students and Alumni,

We are pleased to announce the Graduate Seminar Series: Jean Monnet Scholarship Information Session, where we will introduce the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, one of Türkiye’s longest-established scholarship programmes, funded by the European Union.

The Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme is a prestigious scholarship programme funded by the European Union that provides Turkish citizens with the opportunity to pursue master’s studies in EU Member States. The programme aims to develop qualified professionals with the expertise needed to support Türkiye’s alignment with the EU acquis.

During the event, our alumnus Emirhan Sarı, a 2024–2025 Jean Monnet Scholar, will share his experiences with the scholarship programme and provide valuable tips on the application process.

About Our Speaker:

Emirhan Sarı, a graduate of Ibn Haldun University’s Faculty of Law who also completed a double major in Political Science and International Relations, earned his master’s degree in Commercial and Company Law (LL.M.) at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

His academic research focuses on company law and corporate governance. In his master’s thesis, he conducted a comparative analysis of the authority of boards of directors to adopt defensive measures against hostile takeovers under U.S. and EU law, offering recommendations for Türkiye.

As a Jean Monnet Scholar, he specialized in company law and corporate governance within the European Union context.

We invite all students and alumni who are planning to pursue postgraduate studies abroad to join us for this valuable online seminar.
